Everyone can access Mass Effect 3′s multiplayer right now

Saturday 18 February 2012

Those of us who weren’t so lucky to gain early access to Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer demo no longer need to feel envious.
The powers that be have deemed everyone worthy enough to partake in multiplayer from now until Mass Effect 3 releases at retail. Go ahead and give multiplayer a try on your platform of choice.
I’ve spent about a half hour playing multiplayer so far. Oddly enough, I’ve only been able to try one mode so far. Myself along with two other random players were fighting wave after wave of Cerberus troops on a single map. Sometimes we would get objectives such as taking out a specific target or doing some computer hacking. However most of the time, the main goal was to simply get through each enemy wave.
Playing through the various multiplayer modes will allow you to earn experience to level up. From there, you apply upgrade points to your skills just like in the single-player game. You can also buy special item packs with credits which may provide uncommon drops at times.
I get the impression there’s a lot more to see here. Fortunately, we have a lot of time to take it all in
